WOMEN OF NEW HOPE

NAOMI CIRCLE - 2009

  Organization -- Open to all women of the congregation. All women are potential members of Women of The Evangelical Lutheran Church (WELCA). See Bylaws - Organization p. 11.

Meetings: 3rd Sunday evening of the month at 6:30 PM
Purpose: To provide Bible Study and Service to the local (New Hope) congregation and affiliation with the Synodical and National Church.

Activities

  1. Bible Study and Fellowship monthly
     

  2. Sponsor WELCA Thank Offering Service in coordination with all women of the congregation annually. Monies are sent to the national church for WELCA Thank Offering, with a portion designated for a specific local cause.
     

  3. Women participate as members of other specific ministries of the church such as ushering, greeting, singing, teaching, and visitation.
     

  4. A portion of offerings are sent to Synod for World Hunger.
     

  5. Fellowship Cookout
     

  6. Assists with cleaning and organization of kitchen
     

  7. Lutheran Festival -- to be held in 2 or 3 sessions in October prior to Reformation Sunday
     

  8. Service is provided in other areas as need arises.
