There
shall be an Evangelism Ministry. This ministry team shall inspire the
congregation to "Spread the Gospel" as Jesus commanded His disciples to
do. The team make-up shall be in keeping with the directives as stated in
the Standing Ministry Section of these bylaws.
- Each team shall be composed of one or
more members of the Congregation Council, one of whom shall serve as the
team leader or liaison to council, and other interested members in good
standing of the congregation.
The team shall:
- develop informational pamphlets and
study groups to strengthen faith and understanding of Christianity as
expressed through the teaching of the Lutheran Church.
- support the membership in witnessing
to the belief and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- encourage and promote opportunity to
share this faith with others.
- encourage growth in attendance,
involvement, and spiritual development within the congregation.
- seek effective means and new
possibilities for reaching out and spreading the Gospel throughout the
community.
